Ourmadeira - Fort Of Old Town Apartments - Funchal (Madeira)

I recently stayed at Zona Velha Apartments and had a wonderful time. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well-equipped, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen had all the essentials, and I loved having access to salt, sugar, and olive oil for cooking. The large bathroom and spacious dining area were also great features. The wifi was reliable, and the balcony offered a beautiful view of the sea. Supermarkets were conveniently located nearby, and there was even a beach just a couple of minutes away. a fantastic experience!

Real good stay and absolutely perfect and magnificent location.

Room for the other bedroom. A shower, a hair dryer, and fresh towels available. Location near the sea in old town. Very attentive people work here.

We loved the stay here, really good experience. It had warm rooms by the front bedroom. We could enjoy views over the sea. Stuff was helpful and provided us with a fridge, a dishwasher, and an electric kettle.

This place is a spacious apartment situated close to the old town and within walking distance to numerous restaurants, buses, and a cable car, offering breathtaking views of the sea and being conveniently located near a market.

The apartments were SO close to the beach, we practically rolled out of bed and into the ocean. We also had a blast exploring the vibrant nightlife and partying at the trendiest clubs. It was the perfect vacay for us party-loving teens.

The only thing we wished for was a pool in the apartments. We love partying, but sometimes it's nice to have a chill spot to hang out and cool off after a night of dancing.

The value for money at Zona Velha Apartments By An Island Apart was fantastic. The room felt stylish and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect, close to the sea, restaurants, and easily walkable to the city center. The staff, especially Filipa and Andre, were charming, helpful, and made us feel warmly welcomed.

The food for breakfast could have been better.

I always return to this amazing place. The staff found my lost car keys on my first stay. Everything I need is here: Wi-Fi, paid parking, kitchenware, airport shuttle. I'll be back for another trip.

The cleaning service was top-notch, just like having my own personal maid. Also, the access to the beach in just 1 minute was great, although it would have been better if it was 30 seconds.

Oh, just the lack of air conditioning and nowhere to put the rubbish. No big deal, I love sweating and carrying trash with me at all times.

We had a great time chatting on the terrace and had an amazing evening at O Portao, which is right in front of the place, making our stay very enjoyable. Plus, it's conveniently close to Parque de Santa Catarina.

Located in the heart of the Old Town, these apartments offer a convenient base for exploring Funchal. Guests will find the market, local shops, sea swimming, and a variety of restaurants nearby. The stunning views of the Old Town, sea, and sky-scapes add to the charm of the location.

The noise from noisy vehicles and late-night garbage collections can be disruptive, especially in the bedrooms. There is also a lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms, making it difficult to reduce the noise by closing the windows.

The best aspects of our weekend stay were the amazing views from the apartment and the friendly staff. The apartment had stunning panoramic views, with a beautiful mountain backdrop and a picturesque view of the sea and boats. It was a treat to wake up to such a breathtaking sight every morning. the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, providing us with helpful advice and ensuring that our transportation needs were taken care of. The key location of the apartment was also a major advantage, with the old fort, restaurants, and other attractions just a stone's throw away.

There were a few issues that we encountered during our stay. the living room in the apartment was smaller than expected, and the furniture showed signs of wear and tear.
